Home Office Remodel

Located in the garage, this home office had unfinished walls, indoor-outdoor carpet on the floor and was short on workspace and storage. Our client envisioned an open workspace with multiple workstations and plenty of storage. In addition, he wanted to hide the sprinkler system pump located in the garage. After demolition, the office was insulated, and the walls were finished with drywall. We created a larger door opening into the laundry room and installed a louvered bi-fold door.

For the floor, Mt Royal wood plank porcelain tile in Walnut was installed. This tile not only has the appearance of real wood it also has soft undulating grooves for a realistic texture.

The desk and wall cabinets are custom designed to our client’s specifications. Features include painted finish Shaker style door and drawer fronts, 14” deep wall cabinets, a built-in keyboard tray and file drawers. In the laundry room we designed a fold down laundry table. For the sprinkler pump we built a removable laminate covered box to keep it out of sight.

The interior was painted, we added new trim around the existing doors and new base molding throughout. You can see more photos of this home office remodel here.
